Hey everybody,

KillingBaby, HQ and me(FrEnZy) are in the process of organizing a LMS Tournament. Now I think most of you guys don’t know what LMS means so I’ll explain it for you guys.

LMS is short for Last Man Standing. The goal is not to get eliminated and to be the Last Man Standing. You can only get eliminated one way though and that is by ending on the last place on a map. These kind of tournaments are played on the Free For All gametype. A LMS is played out the following way. You start with for example 14 players on a server. The guy who finishes last spot on the map will be eliminated and can’t continue playing anymore in the tournament. This player will have to disconnect from the server or join the spectators. You will remain then with 13 players on the next map. This will go on till only 1 player remains. He will be the only one who reached the final goal. He will be the Last Man Standing and he will be the winner of the LMS.

We are planning on having 64 slots for this tournament. That is why we will get 4 servers with 16 slots. At the end we will have 3 players remaining on each server who will go on to the Final. The 12 remaining players will meet on 1 server and play until 2 players remain who will play the Grand Final.

The config, servers, maps and everything has yet to be decided on by the admins. We are still looking for somebody to help us create a website for the Tournament on which we will be able to put everything together(rules, mappacks, signed-up list etc). We want to try to make this tournament good for both Bro and Excessive 5 config players so that everybody has a decent shot at victory with some practice.

The date of the tournament will be on Sunday the 8th of January 2006. The starting time will be 5 pm Central European Time(+1). You will be allowed to sign up for the tournament until Thursday 5 January 2006. You can sign up by emailing me your emailadress and the name you are known by and the name of the clan you are in at the moment or by posting your emailadress and quake name + clan below in a post on this forum.

If you have any questions feel free to ask them below or email me. We will make update at this topic as much as possible and I request a sticky for it if possible.

and here the problem starts again because if the cfg will be bro or x-n than e5 players have no chance with bro good railere. 5 cfg players dont use rail and if we will have insta rail in that cfg than e5 players have no chance with it. i would sugest to dont make insta rail it this cfg but for example 2 shots to kill like seting damage of rail to 150-180 and another issue is multijump, e5 players dont used to use this and they will say just this is crap and they wont play on this turney. i can bet that moust of players on this turnament will be from bro ...
anyway i think that cfg should be made soon as posible and server should be on so all who r intrested can practice there

symptom doing stm similar on e5 cfg

and punishing players for that they shot good with a raill is not the fairest thing we can do,...

I think it will be a modified version of the XL+ cfg with stronger rail(2-3 shot kill depending on armor), but not as slow reload. No spawnprotection thoug or multijumps. Any other request the Bro Community has looking as weapons?
