im trying to change my name from

but quake e+ is nameing me unnamedplayer+ how do i get it to the second choice of mine. O here is the character string the i used is qname ^2^0\/‡åÓ«¨©ò\/

this / and this \ are the problem...as they are used for commands like....../cg_drawGun ....so it the software you are giving a command.
why not use this..its maybe not exactly what you want...but it works

looks you have again this problem..
i have too this problem. like some letters dosent work.. i had want register new clan and if out this name ^4^7-=ä^7^1*ī*^4^7ā=- then N and B letter dosent work.. there coming some numbers like you now..
whats wrong?

i got same problem, i want this ^0?^9ø^0‘^6^a9I^a8n^a7K^a6y from Qname and after paste it by notepad in q3 i got unnamedplayer+

Holy cow...this is interesting. I used the new characters also and got the same results. :-k
I spent a few minutes on this, thinking I ate a bowl of st00pid this morning but every time I also got renamed unnamedplayer+ also.
I'm sure there is someone smarter than me, so show yourself and explain this odd situation.
