Brightness??

check cvars mentioned here, as it is a cvar problem and not os issue.. it has happened to me on a few occasions and when i reset my q3config.cfg in baseq3 folder, it stopped..
if you go into the game options, you will see the ingame slider for brightness, just move it a slight bit and it should restore back to norm, like it is sticking sometimes..

Brightness??

Thank you all for all your help. I figured out the issue. I just simply switched from a gnome desktop environment to a KDE desktop environment, and the game has been working flawlessly since then. Now with KDE I don't have to worry bout low fps probs with compiz nor gamma issue. Again thank you all for all your help on trying to help me resolve this issue. Cheerz,

I've got no idea what to do to fix this ....
My experience, close all other applications (including skype, aim etc.) everything that pops up a windows makes that shit ....
